A simple three-step flow

How to translate Polish to English speech online

Use this live Polish–English page when a surname or street needs its diacritics checked. It starts with Polish (Poland) and English (United States). Speakers take turns in one session, and the columns stay fixed. Letters such as ł are part of the Polish caption, not optional decoration.

  1. 01

    Confirm Polish (Poland)

The starting label is Polish (Poland), pl-PL, with English (United States). Check them before Start.

  2. 02

Say the name or street, then pause

Press Start translating and allow the microphone. Wait for Listening. Give one surname or one street. The page does not request the microphone on load.

  3. 03

Read ł, ń, and the other marks in the Polish line

Compare that caption with the English spelling before you copy the address. Repeat the word if a mark disappeared.

Words on screen

Follow each turn in the two caption columns

Read Polish (Poland) speech beside its translation, then let the other speaker answer in English (United States) if they prefer. The text stays grouped by the two selected languages, so check the original wording when a place, name, or number matters.

Captions are text only, and either selected language can be spoken in the same session. The examples on this page are written to illustrate the languages; they are not captions captured from a live session.

With live captions, both people can follow each turn and respond while the conversation is underway. Use the two language columns to check names, numbers, and places together.

Polish (Poland)

Nazwisko to Kowalski, adres to ulica Długa 8.

English (United States)

The surname is Kowalski, and the address is Długa Street 8.

Language selections

Choose the two languages for this conversation

This page starts with Polish (Poland) and English (United States). Speakers can take turns in either selected language during one session. The language columns stay fixed, and the Web trial is up to one cumulative minute per visitor.

How to select the two conversation languages in the browser voice translator
SettingHow it works
First languageStart with Polish (Poland).
Second languageUse English (United States) as the second language; both remain visible in separate caption columns.
Conversation directionEither selected language can be spoken in the same session; its translation appears in the other language’s column.

The default is Polish (Poland), pl-PL. Polish diacritics, including ł, are part of the written name or street. The page does not promise a stripped ASCII spelling. Confirm surnames, streets, and numbers in the original caption. The example is edited, not a live log.

Short, practical exchanges

Where a short live exchange can help

Copying a surname

Say the surname once and read the Polish caption before you accept an English spelling.

Checking a street with ł

Długa in the edited example keeps ł. Use the Polish line if an English caption simplifies the street.

Confirming the building number

Repeat the number alone if it shared a turn with the street. The other person can answer in English without reversing the pair.

Practical tips

Make each caption easier to check

  • 01Read the Polish caption before you drop diacritics from a name or street.
  • 02Keep the house number in its own turn when the street caption is long.
  • 03Polish (Poland) is the starting selection. Do not expect the page to detect another language nearby.
  • 04Captions stay on screen as text. The page does not play audio or take a file.

Quick troubleshooting

No microphone input?

Check this site’s microphone permission and your system input device, then return to the tool and start again. If another application is using the microphone, close that recording session first.

Does the browser play translated speech?

No. The browser voice translator shows recognized speech and translations as text captions only; it does not play translated speech.

Connection interrupted?

Wait for the status to recover before speaking. If the session ends, check your connection and press Start again. A reconnect does not guarantee that speech from the interruption can be recovered.

Polish to English voice translator FAQs

Questions before you start

01Will Polish letters such as ł be kept?

The edited example keeps ł in Długa. Read the Polish caption when you copy a street or name. This page does not promise an ASCII-only spelling.

02Why is the surname and the street one sample sentence?

It shows both a name and an address with a diacritic. If a live caption crowds them, repeat the street or the number alone.

03Can we alternate languages without switching controls?

Yes. Polish and English can be spoken in turns. The columns remain fixed.

04Can I upload a Polish recording?

No. The page listens after Start and permission. It does not ingest files or export the caption.

05Does the Web minute reset if I open another language?

No. It is up to one cumulative minute per visitor. Stopping, refreshing, or changing pairs does not restore used time. The app offer is three free days and is separate.
