A simple three-step flow

How to translate Burmese to English speech online

This live Burmese–English page starts with Burmese (Myanmar) and English (United States) for a short place question. Burmese captions use Myanmar script. Speakers take turns, the columns stay fixed, and a place name should be checked in the Burmese line before you follow the English one.

  1. 01

    Confirm Burmese (Myanmar)

Check Burmese (Myanmar), my-MM, and English (United States). The page does not transliterate Myanmar script into Latin letters for you.

  2. 02

    Ask for one place

Press Start translating and allow the microphone. Wait for Listening. Name one station or landmark, then pause. Opening the page does not start the microphone.

  3. 03

Read the Myanmar script in its column

Compare it with the English place name. If the glyphs look missing, check that the device can display Myanmar script, then ask the speaker to repeat the place.

Words on screen

Follow each turn in the two caption columns

Read Burmese (Myanmar) speech beside its translation, then let the other speaker answer in English (United States) if they prefer. The text stays grouped by the two selected languages, so check the original wording when a place, name, or number matters.

Captions are text only, and either selected language can be spoken in the same session. The examples on this page are written to illustrate the languages; they are not captions captured from a live session.

With live captions, both people can follow each turn and respond while the conversation is underway. Use the two language columns to check names, numbers, and places together.

Language selections

Choose the two languages for this conversation

This page starts with Burmese (Myanmar) and English (United States). Speakers can take turns in either selected language during one session. The language columns stay fixed, and the Web trial is up to one cumulative minute per visitor.

How to select the two conversation languages in the browser voice translator
SettingHow it works
First languageStart with Burmese (Myanmar).
Second languageUse English (United States) as the second language; both remain visible in separate caption columns.
Conversation directionEither selected language can be spoken in the same session; its translation appears in the other language’s column.

The default is Burmese (Myanmar), my-MM, from the catalog collected on 8 October 2026. The example uses Myanmar script. Display depends on the device having a Myanmar font. The page does not promise a Latin pronunciation line or every regional variety. Confirm place names in the original caption.

Short, practical exchanges

Where a short live exchange can help

Finding a station

The edited example asks for Yangon railway station. Read the Burmese caption before you rely on the English name.

Checking a street or gate

Say that detail alone and compare both columns.

Hearing the answer in English

The other person can reply in English without reversing the pair.

Practical tips

Make each caption easier to check

  • 01Read the Myanmar script in the Burmese column, not only the English place name.
  • 02If the characters do not display, the text can still be in the page; a missing font is not the same as an empty caption.
  • 03Keep one place per turn.
  • 04The page does not play audio or accept a Burmese recording.

Quick troubleshooting

No microphone input?

Check this site’s microphone permission and your system input device, then return to the tool and start again. If another application is using the microphone, close that recording session first.

Does the browser play translated speech?

No. The browser voice translator shows recognized speech and translations as text captions only; it does not play translated speech.

Connection interrupted?

Wait for the status to recover before speaking. If the session ends, check your connection and press Start again. A reconnect does not guarantee that speech from the interruption can be recovered.

Burmese to English voice translator FAQs

Questions before you start

01What script is the Burmese example?

Myanmar script, in an edited question for Yangon railway station. It is not a Latin transliteration and not a live transcript.

02What if the Burmese letters show as boxes?

The characters are still the caption text. A device without a Myanmar font may not draw them. Ask the speaker to repeat the place and compare the English column.

03Which language is preselected?

Burmese (Myanmar), my-MM, and English (United States).

04Can I upload audio instead of speaking?

No. This page uses the microphone after Start. It does not take files or export captions.

05How long can we try on the Web?

Up to one cumulative minute per visitor. Used time remains used after Stop or refresh. The app offer is three free days and is separate.
