A simple three-step flow

How to translate Thai to English speech online

This live Thai–English page starts with Thai (Thailand) and English (United States) for a fare, direction, or other short travel question. Thai captions are Thai script, which does not separate words with spaces the way English does. Speakers take turns, the columns stay fixed, and a number is easier to trust when it has its own turn.

  1. 01

    Confirm Thai (Thailand)

Check Thai (Thailand), th-TH, and English (United States). The page does not insert word spaces into Thai for you.

  2. 02

    Ask the fare, then pause

Press Start translating and allow the microphone. Wait for Listening. Ask one price, then stop speaking so both captions can settle. Page load does not start the microphone.

  3. 03

Check the digits against the Thai caption

Read the amount in both columns. If the Thai line is long, repeat only the number.

Words on screen

Follow each turn in the two caption columns

Read Thai (Thailand) speech beside its translation, then let the other speaker answer in English (United States) if they prefer. The text stays grouped by the two selected languages, so check the original wording when a place, name, or number matters.

Captions are text only, and either selected language can be spoken in the same session. The examples on this page are written to illustrate the languages; they are not captions captured from a live session.

With live captions, both people can follow each turn and respond while the conversation is underway. Use the two language columns to check names, numbers, and places together.

Language selections

Choose the two languages for this conversation

This page starts with Thai (Thailand) and English (United States). Speakers can take turns in either selected language during one session. The language columns stay fixed, and the Web trial is up to one cumulative minute per visitor.

How to select the two conversation languages in the browser voice translator
SettingHow it works
First languageStart with Thai (Thailand).
Second languageUse English (United States) as the second language; both remain visible in separate caption columns.
Conversation directionEither selected language can be spoken in the same session; its translation appears in the other language’s column.

The default is Thai (Thailand), th-TH. Thai script in the example does not use spaces between words. Polite particles such as ครับ or ค่ะ can appear in ordinary speech; the page does not promise to interpret every particle. Confirm fares, names, and numbers in the Thai caption. The sample is an edited illustration.

Short, practical exchanges

Where a short live exchange can help

Asking a fare

Use one fare question. The edited example includes the polite particle ครับ. Compare the amount before you pay.

Finding a stop

Ask for one station or exit. Read the Thai name in its own caption, where missing spaces do not have to match English word breaks.

Confirming a platform number

Say the number alone if the first answer was long. Either person can reply in the other selected language.

Practical tips

Make each caption easier to check

  • 01Read the Thai caption as Thai script, not as an English sentence with missing spaces.
  • 02Pull a fare or platform number into its own turn when the first line is hard to check.
  • 03The polite particle in the example is illustrative. It is not a tone or gender detector.
  • 04This page does not play a spoken translation or accept a Thai audio file.

Quick troubleshooting

No microphone input?

Check this site’s microphone permission and your system input device, then return to the tool and start again. If another application is using the microphone, close that recording session first.

Does the browser play translated speech?

No. The browser voice translator shows recognized speech and translations as text captions only; it does not play translated speech.

Connection interrupted?

Wait for the status to recover before speaking. If the session ends, check your connection and press Start again. A reconnect does not guarantee that speech from the interruption can be recovered.

Thai to English voice translator FAQs

Questions before you start

01Why are there no spaces in the Thai example?

Thai writing normally does not separate words with spaces. The caption keeps Thai script. Read it in the Thai column rather than expecting English-style word breaks.

02Does ครับ mean the page detected the speaker?

No. ครับ in the edited example is a polite particle in the sample sentence. The page does not detect pronouns, politeness, or the speaker’s gender.

03Can the other person answer in English?

Yes. Thai and English stay selected for the session, and the columns stay fixed.

04Can I translate a Thai video or voice message?

No. This page is live microphone speech after Start. It does not upload media or export captions.

05What is the browser time limit?

Up to one cumulative minute per visitor. Used time is kept after Stop or refresh. The app offer is three free days and is separate.
