A simple three-step flow

How to translate Hebrew to English speech online

This live Hebrew–English page starts with Hebrew (Israel) and English (United States) for a short appointment exchange. Hebrew captions run right to left. Speakers take turns in one session, and the columns stay fixed so a day, a time, or a name can be checked in the original script.

  1. 01

    Confirm Hebrew (Israel)

Check Hebrew (Israel), he-IL, and English (United States) before Start. The page does not detect another language from nearby speech.

  2. 02

Say the day and the hour, then pause

Press Start translating and allow the microphone. Wait for Listening. Keep the appointment short. Opening the page does not request the microphone.

  3. 03

Read Hebrew right to left beside the English time

Compare both captions. Repeat the day or the hour alone if the first turn is crowded.

Words on screen

Follow each turn in the two caption columns

Read Hebrew (Israel) speech beside its translation, then let the other speaker answer in English (United States) if they prefer. The text stays grouped by the two selected languages, so check the original wording when a place, name, or number matters.

Captions are text only, and either selected language can be spoken in the same session. The examples on this page are written to illustrate the languages; they are not captions captured from a live session.

With live captions, both people can follow each turn and respond while the conversation is underway. Use the two language columns to check names, numbers, and places together.

Language selections

Choose the two languages for this conversation

This page starts with Hebrew (Israel) and English (United States). Speakers can take turns in either selected language during one session. The language columns stay fixed, and the Web trial is up to one cumulative minute per visitor.

How to select the two conversation languages in the browser voice translator
SettingHow it works
First languageStart with Hebrew (Israel).
Second languageUse English (United States) as the second language; both remain visible in separate caption columns.
Conversation directionEither selected language can be spoken in the same session; its translation appears in the other language’s column.

The default is Hebrew (Israel), he-IL. Hebrew text is right to left. The page does not promise a Latin transliteration, vowel pointing, or every speech variety. Confirm days, times, and names in the Hebrew caption. The example is edited, not a captured appointment.

Short, practical exchanges

Where a short live exchange can help

Confirming a weekday and an hour

The edited example says Tuesday at four. Read the Hebrew line and the English line before you put it on a calendar.

Checking a personal name

Say the name in its own turn and read it inside the Hebrew column.

Taking the reply in English

The other person can speak English without reversing the pair. Hebrew stays in its column.

Practical tips

Make each caption easier to check

  • 01Read Hebrew in the Hebrew column so the letter order stays right to left.
  • 02Split the weekday and the hour if one caption is hard to check.
  • 03Do not expect niqqud or a pronunciation line unless it was actually spoken and recognized as text.
  • 04This page does not play translated speech or upload a recording.

Quick troubleshooting

No microphone input?

Check this site’s microphone permission and your system input device, then return to the tool and start again. If another application is using the microphone, close that recording session first.

Does the browser play translated speech?

No. The browser voice translator shows recognized speech and translations as text captions only; it does not play translated speech.

Connection interrupted?

Wait for the status to recover before speaking. If the session ends, check your connection and press Start again. A reconnect does not guarantee that speech from the interruption can be recovered.

Hebrew to English voice translator FAQs

Questions before you start

01Which way do Hebrew captions run?

Right to left. English stays left to right in its own column. The Tuesday example is edited illustration, not a live log.

02Does the page add vowel marks?

No. It shows recognized text. It does not promise niqqud or a Latin pronunciation guide.

03What is preselected?

Hebrew (Israel), he-IL, and English (United States). Confirm those labels before Start.

04Can I translate a Hebrew audio file here?

No. The page uses the microphone after Start and permission. It does not take files or export captions.

05How much can we try on the Web?

Up to one cumulative minute per visitor. Stopping or refreshing does not restore used time. The app offer is three free days and is separate.
