A simple three-step flow

How to translate Persian to English speech online

This live Persian–English page starts with Persian (Iran) and English (United States) for a short appointment or place check. Persian captions use Arabic-derived script and run right to left; they are not Arabic. Speakers take turns with the columns fixed. If a date comes up, confirm which calendar the speaker means before you rely on the English line.

  1. 01

    Confirm Persian (Iran)

Check Persian (Iran), fa-IR, and English (United States). This is not an Arabic selection. The page does not relabel the language from the script alone.

  2. 02

Say the time and place, then pause

Press Start translating and allow the microphone. Wait for Listening. Give one appointment detail. Opening the page does not start the microphone.

  3. 03

Read Persian right to left in its own column

Compare the Persian caption with the English one. Ask which calendar a date uses if that date will decide when you go.

Words on screen

Follow each turn in the two caption columns

Read Persian (Iran) speech beside its translation, then let the other speaker answer in English (United States) if they prefer. The text stays grouped by the two selected languages, so check the original wording when a place, name, or number matters.

Captions are text only, and either selected language can be spoken in the same session. The examples on this page are written to illustrate the languages; they are not captions captured from a live session.

With live captions, both people can follow each turn and respond while the conversation is underway. Use the two language columns to check names, numbers, and places together.

Language selections

Choose the two languages for this conversation

This page starts with Persian (Iran) and English (United States). Speakers can take turns in either selected language during one session. The language columns stay fixed, and the Web trial is up to one cumulative minute per visitor.

How to select the two conversation languages in the browser voice translator
SettingHow it works
First languageStart with Persian (Iran).
Second languageUse English (United States) as the second language; both remain visible in separate caption columns.
Conversation directionEither selected language can be spoken in the same session; its translation appears in the other language’s column.

The default is Persian (Iran), fa-IR. The script runs right to left and is not the Arabic (Saudi Arabia) selection. The page does not promise every regional variety, a Latin transliteration, or calendar conversion. Confirm times, dates, and place names in the Persian caption. The example is edited.

Short, practical exchanges

Where a short live exchange can help

Setting a clock time and a square

The edited example names Vanak Square and four o’clock. Read both captions before you leave. Split the time and the place if the first turn is unclear.

Checking a date

Persian speakers may mean a Solar Hijri date. This page does not convert calendars. Repeat the day and confirm it with the speaker.

Hearing the reply in English

The other person can answer in English without reversing the columns. Persian stays in the Persian column.

Practical tips

Make each caption easier to check

  • 01Do not treat a Persian caption as Arabic because the scripts are related. The selected label should say Persian (Iran).
  • 02Read the Persian line inside its column so the right-to-left order stays intact.
  • 03Confirm any date aloud. The page does not convert Solar Hijri dates.
  • 04There is no spoken playback and no file upload on this page.

Quick troubleshooting

No microphone input?

Check this site’s microphone permission and your system input device, then return to the tool and start again. If another application is using the microphone, close that recording session first.

Does the browser play translated speech?

No. The browser voice translator shows recognized speech and translations as text captions only; it does not play translated speech.

Connection interrupted?

Wait for the status to recover before speaking. If the session ends, check your connection and press Start again. A reconnect does not guarantee that speech from the interruption can be recovered.

Persian to English voice translator FAQs

Questions before you start

01Is Persian the same selection as Arabic?

No. This page starts with Persian (Iran), fa-IR. Arabic (Saudi Arabia) is a different catalog language and a different page, even though both are written right to left.

02Will the page convert a Persian calendar date?

No. If a date matters, ask the speaker which calendar they mean and read the original caption. The tool does not promise a calendar conversion.

03Which way does the Persian example run?

Right to left. The English column stays left to right. The sample is an edited illustration, not a live transcript.

04Can I bring a Persian audio file?

No. Live microphone speech starts after Start and permission. The page does not take files or play a translation.

05How much live time is on the Web?

Up to one cumulative minute per visitor. Used time stays used after you stop or refresh. The app offer is three free days and is separate.
